Construction has recently commenced on the first phase of development at Brooks Road Estate, Plaistow.

The first phase will include improvements to three low rise buildings incorporating 54 flats occupied by a mixture of council tenants and leaseholders. The proposals include a comprehensive upgrade of flat interiors and communal areas as well as new external cladding, windows and an extensive remodeling of the public realm adjacent to the buildings.

The work is due to be completed in Autumn 2005.
