1-36 Fothergill Close is  the largest refurbishment project undertaken at Brooks Road Estate to date. The proposal comprises an overhaul of the building to improve its access, security and appearance.

The design includes new secure stair cores; an extension to widen the existing concrete walkway; new canopies and integral lighting to front doors; and a series of 'fin' columns that will provide support to the walkway extension and canopies, provide additional shelter on the walkway and provide a new distinctive frontage.
