This competition entry seeks to provide a new canal bridge over the Leeds-Liverpool Canal providing a new connection between areas that are currently undergoing extensive regeneration.

The design provides a distinctively wide and attractive route that acts as a seamless continuation of the primary routes on either side of the canal. The bridge integrates disabled access into the folded plane of its deck, whilst the gently sweeping form of the bridge provides pedestrians with excellent sightlines over the bridge.
